A Poem by Isidora

This is jealousy…

The fire in my veins,

a little ember

blazing within the

depths of my being

The cold ice sliding

within my systems,

freezing emotions,

chilling me inside

The machine within

that keeps the rhythm

of my heart going,

ticking and living

The embittered thoughts,

the guilty twinges,

the little voices,

the silent knowledge…
