Needles and Knives

Needles and Knives

A Poem by Isidora
"

A slightly manic view of a queen's rejection and revenge

"

Don't leave me,

Please don't think
Of leaving my side,

Leaving your bride
I won't let you
I'll tie you to me

Sew you to me with
A needle of lies

A thread of dreams,
I'll sew you to my side;

You can't leave your queen,

You can't leave me;
What do you see

When you look at me?
Do you think of me,

Or do you see her?
Hair of the trees

And eyes of gold
Belong to me,

To only me;
Love me

Scorn me
But now,

Ah, but now,

Now I know
The way to a

Man's heart

Is right

Through

His

chest

Yes, it sucks. I know. I also know that my attempt at shaping the poem into a dagger sucks. Please help.

The dagger imagery is awesome. :0 The changing of the colors in some spots was a good idea. The only thing I can think of to make it better would be to somehow make chest smaller than his. :/

As for the poem itself, I enjoyed it. It really shows how crazy and obsessive she is. It shows how she's the type of person to say 'If I can't have him, nobody can!'. So good job. :D

Dun dun dun TREASON! Daggers are pointy, and sort of look like (pardon if this really sucks) =l==>
not too bad... yeah >< It's okay if it's not a perfect dagger. try adjusting the font, that might help turn it into a dagger. Good job with that. It looks like a funky dagger, but that's okay... it takes a while... IM NOT PERFECT! NOBODY'S PERFEEEEEEEEEEEECT! *shot for singing Hannah montana* gj on this poem.
RIGHT THROUGH HIS CHEST

I love your use of metaphors "hair of the trees and eyes of gold" these paint such a vivid image that it's almost mind boggling. I also like how you did the concrete aspect of the poem, shaping like the dagger that (apparently) the queen stabbed the king with. Keep writing!
