More than it should

When you are overwhelmed with the emotion of love.

A sight of you, and
The day blooms up more than it should...
A thought of you, and
Something inside me wells up more than it should...
A caress from you, and
The touch of your hand feels warmer than it should...
Two comfort words from you, and
The burden of grief seems lighter than it should...
A knowing that you are nearby, and
The world seems safer than it should...
A glimpse of your sorrow, and
The heart stays restless longer than it should...
A knowing that you are hurt, and
It aches more than it should...
A goodbye from you, and
The hours seem gloomier than it should...
A goodbye to you, and
The heart still looks for you longer than it should.
On days pleasant, filled with content,
On days busier, running my errands
On days surrounded by others for good,
I miss you more than i should...
The heart is overwhelmed, and
is consuming an amount of love more than it should...
