A Horrible Poem

The feelings of uncertainty linger

And doubt clouds ones mind...

So many topics to write about-

so much learnt experience to share.

And yet... the pen does not want to fill the page

The soul does not want to manifest.

A disconnect between heart and mind

Or perhaps the fear of disappointing oneself 

"Every word has to have meaning-

every stroke has to have a purpose"

When every piece of the puzzle becomes the focus

The bigger picture is lost

When caution and correction guide the way

It unknowingly leads to overthinking.

The art is ruined solely by obsession

But perhaps what is most important is what the artist observes 

The beauty from the imperfection

The lesson from the hideous creation; 

"It is okay to fail-

it is alright to be human."

"Accept that you have erred

Because forgiving yourself is the first step to improvement."

It's okay to be human ..to fail
that's so true..been there many
times staring at at blank page

I think poetry just happens and
the pen will perform upon page
when you're in a relaxed state of
mind ..i find when you overthink
and fret about writing; it blocks
the flow of creativity.
