Inner devil spirit

Inner devil spirit

A Poem by Ishaan Kumar

You proffered me the wrong path,
I became subsequent to that outer beauty.
Without knowing the inside caliginosity,
Involuntarily functioned brain made me do deeds which were not meant for me.
I sensed an overcoming threat,
But you subjugated me and I unwantedly committed mistakes.
Once again proved that everything glitters is not always gold,
I be the victim, you be the virus;
I be the prey, you be the predator.

One day my angel opened her eyes,
With her supervision I was shown the path to glory,
 A need for revolutionary change,
With utmost fortitude,
I aimed at killing the devil inside,
The war full of stumbling blocks and stepping stones,
But optimism and conviction,
I killed the virus created by me sometime ago,
This brought peace and serenity,
peace and serenity in my life.
I sent that devil me to hell,
And I in the wait for heaven.
