It's been a few days and I've been thinking about a thing, a phenomenon which I am quite sure has happened to every one of us. There are certain pictures or fragrances or sounds that reminds you of certain events or instances, even though they haven't actually happened in the real world. Its like a slideshow featuring a series of unsettling images which aren't even connected to one another. So it started a few weeks back when I was asked a question. Referring it as a question might be too trivial. It was more of an existentialism based theory. So it went something like this, 'Imagine you'll be travelling back in time (say five back). There you'll be as you're now but but but only by your brain. You will still have that ripping infant body you used to have back then. And the people you've met in the past few years, to them you're just another stranger. What would you do in such a situation? Would you let them know how and when you people will meet in future?' The question is way too deep than it seems. And that day I didn't have an answer (obvious thing). I still don't. But it made me question. Question a lot of things. So after making hundred of deductions and after entering the channels of my memory lane, I came to a point. And here how they goes. How do you know that the five years younger me doesn't knows you? Truly, I'm not really a theist person but then the only thing I worship or you could say believe is Time. And I believe the random images, sounds are nothing but messages from different entities from another dimension, say a multidimensional universe like Gargantua (a place where the laws of space and time become infinite). Who knows, maybe years ago our paths crossed and we saw and heard the same images and sounds back then and didn't realise or noticed it? You may think this is a little mundane but what if our higher and expanded forms are trying to communicate with us with the help of pictured and vocal coordinates? A year ago I came across a story called 'The Girl from Ipanema' by Haruki Murakami. There the narrator talks about how everytime when he played a song (that goes by the same name as the title of the story) made him remembered quite a number of things. Everytime he played the record, she appeared. She then made him remember the dark and damp corridor of a high school, the high ceiling, the sound of his echoed footsteps, a few windows on the north side wall. And the corridor reminded him of salads and swimming pool. He began to think the girl dropped into his well of consciousness and felt like as if they were connected somewhere at their hearts. Now this is something to give some serious thoughts, right? What if there exist a knot. A knot that silently lied in a dark corner where nobody walks. And this tie not only binds us with other people but also connects me with myself. And who knows somewhere in a strange distant world I might meet myself. How are our lives different from the Matryoshka dolls? Filled with all sparking mustard yellow, rosy red, ocean blue, faded violet and other shades, with elegant flowers painted all over it. But as it unfolds, the structure reveals innumerable smaller dolls within. Which finally unveils the whimsical stages of an individual. So does that imply that the universe we live in is a bootstrap paradox (a type of time paradox in which a chicken sends an egg back in time, which egg then becomes that chicken)? © 2018 Iseult |
