Daddy

Daddy

A Poem by .iselyn
"

Basically what the title says.

"

In the blackest seas
of recognition,
do you acknowledge me?

Amongst the cobwebs
and dolls forgotten,
is my name remembered?

Broken teacups
and tattered dresses
litter my mind

In my child's eye
contemplating my worth-
A daughter shunned

A blurred memory forsaken,
a swirl of brunette
and painted porcelain

Shelve me with your other failures
I'll be sure to do the same.
