Autumn

Autumn

A Poem by Wally1173

Summer is gone, so is the heat
Autumn is here, the end we shall meet

Summer is gone, so is the sun
Autumn is here, the rains have begun

Leaves are falling, their colour changing
On the dirty ground, it's always raining

Leaves are falling, their death is here
On the dirty ground, so dead they appear

The rains have come, washing all the dust
All of the surroundings, they smell of rust

The rains have come, God's tears they are
All of the surroundings, you can see it from afar

The birds fly away, their journey begins
To distant lands, near the beautiful springs

The birds fly away, new life to lead
To distant lands, their young they must feed

I feel cold, outside it's so cold
It's raining again, but my ground I shall hold

I feel cold, and here I am, forever standing bold
In the eyes of death, waiting for the rains to wash away the cold.
