Wild Fire

Wild Fire

A Poem by Isaiah Jacob Barber

What I love about poetry

It ignites the flames

They burn deep within

And it’s a burning passion

Words come together

Words that inspire

Words that take you higher

They sing with fire

These words come alive

Like a beacon in the night

They help you stand and fight

In the darkest night

Your spirit animates

Opens the golden gates

When you’re at the ending

The ending celebrates

We go through hell

Come out with a story to tell

All our pain, all our sorrow

Helps you see a better tomorrow

So you see

Come together with poetry

These are the words

From a brother to another

Lift up your voice

Make your choice

With this burning desire

Let it spread like wild fire
