Believe in It

Believe in It

A Poem by Isaiah Jacob Barber

As I lay here in the middle of the night

Imaginations circulates within my mind

I wonder of the limitless things

Because there is a world of wonders

In us all we have a world

A world of imagination

It takes us high

It takes us low

Hope is found in such a world

Faith renewed, restored

Passion cries to live

Dreams are found

My world Is here and now

It’s all around me

Within me, behind me

On both sides and out in front

I want to go where the rivers flow

I want to sing where the angels sing

I want to dance to this romance

I want to be what’s inside of me

A love unchanging

Not rearranging

Or separating

Never dying

A life of serenity

With prosperity

For not just me

For all humanity

I want to see a place

Where we all have place

I want to see love

Come down from above

But I suppose, since I cannot see it

Or touch it, I’ll believe in it

It’s out there, drawing near
