SerenityA Poem by Isaiah Jacob BarberI could write of many things Some good and some bad But what I get in the end Is the serenity I long for
My journey took me far Far from my passion Far from my dreams My pain never changed
Most days were dark Most nights were long The days turned to dust The nights became my life
I chose a calming road I wanted peace at mind The part of me that never died Was the hope for serenity
Someday I shall have what I seek One day my passion will come again Someday I will dream once again On this day poetry became my life
