Dandelions

Dandelions

A Poem by Isabelle S.
"

Reminiscing about my childhood and best friends

"

That summer we picked dandelions

On freshly cut grass we laid

Innocent laughter and sunny skies

A train of ants stealing our snacks

Curly golden hair shines in the light

I place a crown of flowers on your head

Grass stained skirts and bare feet sinking into the earth.

Pure happiness existed then

But I have forgotten the euphoria of childhood

I miss those simpler times.

Long ago since that day was

On the other side of the universe I search longingly

to find my other self that day we picked dandelions.
