My life now

This title contains a series of poems about my life, thoughts, feelings, frustrations...it's more like a memoir about events that take place in my life, so I express them in words.

This is the life I live now
A life of pain,
A life of denial,
A life of regret and lessons,
A life of no one to talk to,
Because they might not understand
What it is that I'm exactly feeling
A life of pretence
Because a smile is the only
thing that I can afford so as not
to show what's really inside.
A life of people that I do know
that are not my friends.
A life of the same old routine
A life of loneliness
What more can I ask for?
Nothing!
Because this is my life now
I should live every moment like it's my last
As I look forward to a brighter future
And a better life
I can't complain either.
