An Acute Case of Wanderlust

An Acute Case of Wanderlust

A Poem by Isabel25
"

Many have accused me of never settling for anything..."Not everyone who wanders is lost__ J.R.R Tolkien"

"

Stuck in perpetual pursuit,

Incapable, of taking root,

I drift, in constant commute

In dreary, dismal trains.

I see strange, shady places,

Glazed, phantom faces,

Bloodstains and traces,

In these dreary, dismal trains.

Infected by wanderlust,

I ramble from dawn to dusk,

Vagrant, like wind-stirred dust,

In such dreary, dismal trains.

Destination, I have none,

I’ll rove on, never get down,

Until these tracks become one,

From the dreary, dismal trains...

"Infected by wanderlust,
I ramble from dawn to dusk,
Vagrant, like wind-stirred dust,
In such dreary, dismal trains." - a true wow stanza here Annie I.

Each verse here could stand alone as a great piece of poetry. Amazing work. The refrain is so lyrical - it just burrows into the mind. Class!

Good to know wanderlust. Good to be free and swim in the goal of travel and good times.

Thank you Zahra :)
sometimes we just find ourselves never being content, no matter where we are or what we are doing....so we end up moving all the time, from one place to another, one job to another, one love to another.

a thoughtful piece.
