Tired

 

Some days,

I’d rather not wake up,

Stay numb,

Forsake my senses,

Be blind, deaf and dumb.

Have you ever got tired of faking it?

Never making it?

Smiling at faces,

You long to rip out?

Listening to voices,

You wish, would croak out?

Speaking, instead of shrieking?

Some days,

Each day seems futile,

I look out and see, darkness,

Spread mile after mile, after mile....

This is quite well written. The difficulty with such pieces is the repetition of emotion which it has avoided and has progressed. It is evident you have worked on this poem.

Annie, Even though I believe that pretty much everyone feels this way at times, the way you spell it out personalizes it in such a way that it IS a tad different from the way I feel during those times. The tedium about which you write me leaves me thinking, "Wow, I can almost hear a ticking clock in the background, like the beginning of '60 Minutes'" Being able to magnify such a pseudo-audio image like that takes talent, which you have in abundance. Very nicely done! take care...

Today's busy life has made humans very tired even of themselves. Pile of works. Stacks of notes. And.. work.. work.. work never let the spirits breathe well. I believe, tiredness has also been one of the reasons behind the lack of creativeness in people. The heart makes 'em blowing to no direction. Very deep poetry you come up with.
