Reflection’s Curse

Reflection’s Curse

A Poem by Irtaza Wahid
"

Reflection’s Curse unveils the torment of betrayal, the sting of rejection, and the haunting grip of despair.

"
The mirror stands, a silent foe,
Reflecting scars the world won't know.
Each gaze into its cruel frame,
Reignites the haunting flame.

A face that bears the weight of scorn,
Eyes hollow, weary, torn.
Whispers linger, sharp and cold,
The taunts replay, a story told.

The shadows creep within my mind,
A peace I seek, but cannot find.
Sleep evades; the nights are long,
Each breath a burden, each thought a wrong.

Those I cherished, those I believed,
Now strike the heart, a wound conceived.
Their love, once warm, now sharp as knives,
Shredding the remnants of my life.

Betrayal festers, deep and raw,
Each smile I knew now hides a flaw.
Hated by those I held so near,
Their voices echo, fed by fear.

The grave now whispers, calm and near,
Its voice a solace, sharp and clear.
A final silence, dark and deep,
An eternal place to fall asleep.
