Bleeding Eye

Bleeding Eye

A Poem by Irtaza Wahid
"

A haunting dialogue between the eye and heart, bound by shared agony, lamenting unending pain and shattered dreams without hope.

"
"Why do you bleed, oh weary eye,
And paint the world with your crimson cry?"
"I bleed for truths I cannot unsee,
For the weight of the world that crushes me."

"But can you not close, turn dark to blind?
Escape the sorrows that plague your mind?"
"I cannot close, I’m cursed to stare,
At agony's face, at life unfair."

"Tell me, eye, do you blame me too?
For I beat for love that never proves true."
"Heart, you throb with reckless need,
While I am left to watch you bleed."

"Yet I can’t stop, it’s all I know,
To pulse for dreams that never grow."
"Then I’ll keep weeping, for dreams that die,
For your foolish hope, I pay the price."

"Do you think this pain will ever part,
Or will we bleed till we both fall apart?"
"No peace awaits, no solace near
Only endless tears and endless fear."
