Dementia

A Poem by Rebecca Isherwood
"

Written 11-2-2008.

"

Centrifugal force

Holding one in place

Throwing off balance

While creating a new center

Warping reality

Causing it to bend

Forcing it to pucker

Making gaps in memory

Twisting truths

Pervading the lies

Straining relationships

Breaking ties

Disconnected entirely

No grip nor vice

Discombobulated

Struggling to form logic

Timelines that do not align

Aggravations, missing pieces

Moving toward a sensical perception

While attaining only confusion.
