Obvious ExplanationA Poem by Rebecca IsherwoodWritten 7-23-2008Surrounded but secluded Disillusioned and diluted Full of all sorts of issues Formed from endless misuse Rejected from the crowd Where outcasts aren't allowed A step apart, seperated Our opinions, overrated Our thoughts completely ignored And ideas go unexplored Getting pushed into the background Artistic merit remains unfound Greatness goes unnoticed And everything we're told is Just a collection of lies A fabrication that's been dyed A way to mislead you So we don't become unglued Paste a picture perfect collage To the media's intense mirage Influencing how you think and act The choice is yours, that's a fact All the world is just a game That's what makes it so insane What you can change is your view Decide what means the most to you Figure out your own objective All that matters is perspective. © 2008 Rebecca IsherwoodAuthor's Note
