Hidden Love

Hidden Love

A Poem by Rebecca Isherwood
"

9-30-07

"

Thinking, dreaming, but not sleeping

Wishing, hoping, no releasing

Building, piling, trying not to burst

Remembering every line that I rehearsed

If only I had the will

To unbind my heart and spill

My deepest secret none now know

How much I love, could show

The world would know a different me

If I could set the truth free

I bet that she could love me too

If only, this girl, she knew

How good my burdened heart would feel

If I stood up and said what's real

Waiting too long would be a mistake

I wonder how much time it will take.
