Running in circles

Like a demented hamster

My mind races

My body pulsates

Feeling around

For a stable table

Or a static, stationary

Anything at all

Make it stop

Make my heart calm

It hurts to be

This worked up

I can’t help it

I just get this way

Anxiety takes over

Tension sets it off
