Halloween

Halloween

A Poem by Rebecca Isherwood

Everybody is not who they seem

They’re under the ‘guise of Halloween

All kinds of monsters creatures and w****s

Other nights they’re behind closed doors

Tonight they all come out

They howl, scream, screech, and shout

Frightening small children ‘til they cry

This holiday is so great, I’ll tell you why

We can express ourselves

Not all costumes come right off the shelves

The true artists make up their own

And on this day their fame is known

Creativity and imagination come together

Even when this day has bad weather

We just continue to create

After all the candy that we ate

The parties will just be inside

Not to our homes, will we reside

The gatherings will still exist

This holiday we just can not resist.
