En Muerto

En Muerto

Death it seems is here, come to take me away

Do not worry, my memory will stay

In the hearts of those I held dear

In the minds of friends I kept near

I thank you all for wishing me well

Though I know not, headed for heaven or hell

I am not ashamed, death I will not fear

Nor should you, save your tears

Smile when you think of me

Happy to have seen, all we did see

Each moment cherished, spent wisely

Do not remember me in death, but lively

The cold corpse contains no soul

It may look like me, my face it stole

Frigid, frozen, cold as stone

When my spirit left to wander the unknown.
