Insanity Reigns One

Insanity Reigns One

A Poem by Rebecca Isherwood
"

High School Era- I think, but I'm not positive.

"

I’m freakin’ out
This is spastic
My mind is bouncin’
Around like elastic
Restriction has me
Stuck in space
Stationary and static
But my insides race
My blood pumping
Inflaming my veins
My mind is swollen
With past troubles and pains
My heart pounding
Against my chest
To everyone else
I seem at rest
Trapped in myself
Feeling condemned
Wishing for freedom
But dying instead
A free-flying spirit
Has now been jailed
A grave situation.
I have just failed
Potential is gone
A mind not released
Soon to become
The latest deceased.
