My Love

My Love

A Poem by Rebecca Isherwood
"

High School Era, one of my first relationships.

"

I love your sweet smile and the way you stare
I love the way you tenderly run your fingers though my hair

I love the many ways of your expression
They may forever keep me from depression

When you’re around our love is all I see
When we’re together it’s only you and me

Your zany personality and my crazy one match
If it were humanly possible we could permanently attach

We should be forever together, day out and day in
The love that we feel for each other comes from deep within

We should be together going here there and everywhere
The irony of it all is that we cannot be a pair
