Extra-Ordinary Apology

Extra-Ordinary Apology

A Poem by Rebecca Isherwood
"

Old poem from 2004. (Jan 8th)

"

I can not explain How I feel inside
My emotions take me On a rolller coaster Ride
Feeling Ecstatic, then sad, Reaching odd extremities
Attempting to use logic, but they get the best of me.

Emotions take over, and I simply follow
I give in too easy, results hard to swallow
Not accepting it, trying not to cry
Feeling so depressed, Wishing I'd die

A week later singing Happily
I realize my emotions seem contradictory
To pick just one is too impossible
I must fess up, I'm not at all Logical

Struggling against my feelings. Level-headed, I am not.
A simple balance is all that's sought.
It does equal out, Like ying and ylang
From Pure elation to Torturous pain.

They come together, Eye to eye they can't see.
But alas they are my character, So please, Forgive me.
I can see that you and I just don't Agree
But I am the best Daughter I am able to be.
