MortalityA Poem by The Iron HorsemanJust an observation...
Nobody gets out alive. It's not an original thought. Everyone wants to survive, But immortality just can't be bought.
Legions of rich men have tried, Paying vast sums for the miracle cure, But all those rich men still died, The principle is unfailingly pure.
The Elixir Of Life doesn't exist, The Fountain Of Youth has run dry, Peter Pan is a beloved myth, Let's face it, we're all gonna die.
Lazarus never rose from the dead, King Arthur isn't making it back, Ann Boleyn just plain lost her head, They're all out there, in the Black.
So what makes you think you're the one, Who gets to live forever? Why should you have all the fun, In the land of Never Never?
So get up, get out, into the street, Life's here, it's now, get with it. Jump right in, use both feet, Don't spectate, just live it.
Sing and dance, have fun with friends, Love, laugh and cry, commit. Don't get trapped in means, reach the ends, Don't wait to be issued a permit.
You only get one chance, So you have to roll the dice, It's not a game, it's a dance, But you can't dance twice!
