Bite Me

Bite Me

A Poem by The Iron Horseman
"

A humorous objection to an overworked epithet.

"

Bite Me

Bite me.

What a pointless retort.

Bite me.

The rejoinder of last resort.

Bite me.

You hear it all the time.

Bite me.

Face puckered like sucking on a lime.

Bite me.

Delivered with a hiss.

Bite me.

Never with a kiss.

Bite me.

Two words, six letters.

Bite me.

Oft used 'gainst intellectual betters.

Bite me.

At least they keep it short.

Bite me.

Teacher, put it in his report.

Bite me.

Shove it up your a**.

Bite me.

No thanks, I'll take a pass.

Bite me.

Wannabe gang-banger?

Bite me.

No, just unfocused anger.

Bite me.

What are you trying to say?

Bite me.

Come back another day!

Bite me.

You really seem to want it.

Bite me.

Are you sure you can take the hit?

Bite me.

Head on out the door.

Bite me.

Ow! What the hell did you do that for?

Because you told me to, stupid!

I had to Google this to find that "Bite me" is your equivalent of our "Get lost". Taken literally, as in your denouement, I feel that our version could be a little less painful. Having got that off my chest , I can now get my teeth into another poem😂.

I enjoyed this sassy piece full of attitude & rhymes. I'm not 100% sold on the repetition of the title quite so many times. Maybe there's some way to add a little variety to that instead!?!?! Like "don't fight me" & other such lines, here & there, to break up this monotonous litany that wears out your clever concept a little bit. All in all, good way to make fun of an idiom that can be over-used *smile* Fondly, Margie

Awesome. Great wording with a lot of clever statements. That final stanza got a chuckle out of me.

Thanks, Clifford. I like making people laugh.
Not the oft shouted and "In-Your-Face" invective of today's choice ...sort of the last statement made by a person as he/she turns and walks away.

Thanks Silente. Glad you liked it; even gladder that it made you laugh.
Be careful what you wish for and what you tell others. Loose lips get you bitten too. :)

Good one worth 100.

Thank you. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
It's that old long conversation thing. All gone.
People don't even say, i'll see you later. It's just, later. Though i must admit. I would be tempted to bite someone who said, bite me.

:)
What would the long conversation version of Bite Me be? Bite me where I like it?
