The White Rabbit's RevengeA Poem by The Iron HorsemanA whimsical poem about a clever bunny.
The White Rabbit races down his burrow, And deep into his warren, Retreating as fast as he can, From something fierce and foreign.
The timber wolf scrabbles frantically, At the burrow's narrow mouth, Digging deeper most determinedly, While White Rabbit's headed South.
Reaching the southern exit, White Rabbit circles back around the hill, Coming up behind the timber wolf, Determined to do him ill.
With a shake of his tail he lures the wolf, Towards the farmer's barn, In the hope that the farmer might see the wolf, And do it some kind of harm.
His wish is granted, the farmer is there, And the wolf is none too wary, The farmer raises his gun, takes aim and fires, And sends the wolf to meet the fairies. © 2017 The Iron Horseman
