WomanA Poem by The Iron HorsemanA poem about what a woman is...
A mystery shrouded in mists, A paradox without parallel, A lister with too many lists, An angel who may give you hell.
A harmony sublime, A dream within a wish, Ageless, out of time, A devil who grants you bliss.
Softer than a blushing dawn, With a strength as tough as steel, Gentle as a newborn fawn, Her kisses soothe and heal.
Fire and ice, Iron and water, Mother, sister, Wife and daughter.
All good things from the woman flow, Love, tenderness and even life, Her beauty can make the flowers grow, Her wisdom brings the light.
An enigma within a cloud, A tear atop a smile, A glance that sets your heart on fire, An accuser who puts you on trial.
A woman is all these things, These and many more, You may know her for a lifetime, And never figure out the score.
Just be grateful that you loved her, And that she loved you in return, Many never know her blessing, And are doomed forever to yearn. © 2017 The Iron Horseman
