Like rain,
A Poem by Seth Armstrong
It's a love poem. I'm not sure how to better describe it.
Like rain, she
patters and falls
upon my skin
and all around
me.
Like rain, she washes
the toil and sin
and guilt and shame
from me.
Like rain, she
whispers sweetly
and whisks me
into the night--
into forgetfulness
of dreams
where there is only
me
and the rain
in beautiful, sacred
harmony:
a forever that I
can always cherish--
a forever that she
can’t take back.

And she pours like the rain, in season…. This is a beautiful image and the movement it paints is sublime. Thanks for sharing.

The implication of rain lends a strong contrast to the love you've portrayed. My first time reading you, so welcome to the Cafe!
