A new song I wrote tonight.

I used to wonder how it felt to be free

Once upon a time I was willing to do anything

to be free

I didn't know

I forgot

left the answers locked

in front of my face

I got lost along the way

Let myself break and fade

For a pretty cage

I thought it was too late to leave

I believed my own lies and pretty tale

I didn't know

I forgot

left the answers locked

in front of my face

You didn't forget

You didn't leave

You loved me in the brokenness

You set me free

I know you

I didn't know

I forgot

left the answers locked

in front of my face

Because of your love

I'm free to live a life loved

Your love is free it never leaves

You showed me, love

That love I freely give

So we all Live Loved

Hello, Nikki! :)
I'd like to know who you are singing to. Is it your child? For me, this had a bit too much repetition for its length, but it reads as heartfelt. I suggest packing as much honesty between the refrains as you can. Leave no ambiguity. Maybe make my eyes tear up. :)
