Painful Words

I wrote after hearing my nephews arguing... My feelings....

 

 

Painful Words

 

They cut, They shred,

They slice, They carve.

They leave scars,

deeper and more painful.

 

Longer than a lifetime,

Lingering on and on...

 

They affect you.

You affect others.

Echoing on and on and on.

 

Bouncing off everyone you

may come into contact with.

In passing, passing others

who have passed you, on and on.

 

Always growing and getting

bigger and bigger.

 

When will we learn?
