Always and ForeverA Poem by IrisThis poem is a spirit who is lost in love. She cannot rest in peace. Find out why.
I stand at the tree, where we carved our names. "Forever", it says. But, I stand here alone.
Questions go through my mind. Why did you...? How could you...? Was it worth...? I stand at the tree, where the leaves has fallen to the ground, leaving it bare. Our names still visible. "Always", it says. But, I stand here alone. The full moon shines it's light down on a stone piece at my feet. The stone that has our names carved on it. "Forever and Always," it says. But, I am alone. What is that dripping sound? Why are my wrists slit open? Why did you kiss her? How could you hit me? Was it worth your life, and mines? © 2017 IrisReviews
