The Cold

The Cold is a poem of being under the influence of drugs or alcohol. "The cold" is drug or alcohol. When having faith in God everything is possible.

The cold will try to freeze you, it will try to keep you frozen within its grasp.

It will keep you from moving forward.

It will keep you from happiness. 

It will keep you from loving yourself and loving others.

An angel of God will be sent down to warm you with its wings of love. Comfort you with a hug and a soothing kiss.

So you can move forward.

So you can feel happiness.

So you can love yourself and love others.

God will keep you safe when you put your faith and trust in Him. He will protect you for the cold; cold that is in this world. He will guide you to a place where help and love is awaiting you, where they will shelter you from the cold. And give you warmth in your heart.

This holds a really powerful message indeed! When all seems lost, we need to realize there is a higher power that can lead us to all the happiness in the world. The main thing is having faith and hold on to it. Nicely penned :)
