![]() Song of a MartyrA Poem by IrisO survivors do not grieve And stay firm In what you believe For we may have left you, Without goodbyes and Teary
partings, true, But this is not farewell my friend, For our journey did not yet end, We may have passed away With shattered dreams and broken promises Pick
up the shards, you will fix them someday Your life lies ahead brilliant and shining Why
make it a prison, harsh and confining? We may have been brutally slain We may have been silent, Maybe
crying in pain But soon when the battle shall undoubtedly cease You will find, in our silent
hearts, eternal peace For no doubt, at the end of the day This was our fate So
thank God and pray And each night when you look up at the moon Remember we will unite,
very, very soon © 2016 IrisAuthor's Note
