White lights
and desk chairs.

White or black
boards.

Chalkdust on
my fingertips,
and markers
staining my fingers
black and blue.

Sometimes red.

Hmmm. Good piece. I really want to know the underlying background story.

alm,
i really like this poem. the title is engaging and your imagery is clear. perhaps consider creating longer lines.
for example, "Chalk-dust on my fingertips, markers stains: black and blue."
Terrific use of details.

Simple poem, but any reader may be able to attach their own personal meaning to it. I like that sense of mystery to it. Well done.
