As Written On Yellow PadA Poem by AlmPoems that I write in class. About what happens in class. Sort-of.I. Unmoving bodies. Falling pictures and eighty leaves of a log-book. Mirror images, a person A and B. Completing a mile in fifteen minutes. I am unhealthy. II. Yellow lined paper-- lines moving, swirling into snakes. Pens clacking on a desk, stippling dots on a euglena. Forgotten labels and fine lines drawn. There is no mirror, I don't see. III. The silence may be deafening. We speak what isn't ours to take. Apple trees forget that they were once seeds from a fruit. A fruit of their mother. Apples don't grow here, but the language of which apple is said, does. IV.
A sharp droning voice keeps me awake with caffeine and sugar. I see a sky on the ceiling: a sky with many stars. Falling to hysterics on a choking cookie. A puddle of water spills into an ocean. © 2012 AlmAuthor's Note
