Yes It's Me

Yes It's Me

A Poem by Amy

Yes it's me, who'd you expect?

Someone lithe and charming?

Who's walk is full of self-respect

And smile is disarming?

Nope, it's me, a simple fool,

Who lives for days like these.

There's nothing suave, no nothing cool,

In shopping for CDs.

Take it, leave it, I don't care,

Just want to get some sleep,

Too old for playing Truth or Dare,

So go away, you creep.

I'll be Amy for awhile,

So might as well just see,

That always who I'm writing for

Is no one else but me.

Oh. Darn I was hoping for somebody more... I don't know, not you?

No. I like this. I enjoyed reading it. It's something that I occasionally feel like yelling at the top of my lungs. Even if I didn't have the words that you do. Hah. It was a good piece. Good work on it.
