True Thoughts

True Thoughts

A Poem by Amy
"

Just everything that I was thinking on a certain day. One of my lighter poems, but not my best.

"

I have to admit, my lower back's been hurting for,

Maybe a month.

It's raining and my world's about to lose

Or gain,

Something that isn't existential,

No matter what anyone would like to think.

And now I wonder, is my pot fired?

Because clay is pearly timelessness

That has nothing to do with big words

Like antidisestablishmentarianism

Or protegee.

The tea I drank earlier was Yorkshire Gold,

But I didn't put in enough milk

So it was kind of bitter.

Imagine, being able to summon a moving, talking picture,

Just by hitting a button labled "power".
I wonder if it'll ever be renamed
"Corruption"

That would kind of make me laugh.

Maybe I should see a chiropractor
