A Poem by Irahbrown
"

How life in the world starts by the life of parents being cut short.

"
I sit there, I stand there, my room is empty now
Except for a photo on the side of the bed
I stare, i look away, that gray photo
My eyes ache and burn at the words that were said.

My room, is an endless lonely desert
As is my soul
All my life, lowered in black caskets
complete and whole

Creaks distract me from the baggage
A tear runs down my cheek
I truly miss my mom and dad
The pain to great to speak

Now they rest, forever forever
Some days I wish I were gone
But I am  to strong, to strong
Now i will await what will dawn

I remember that day, so clear and crisp
why dear why?
was i not with them?
I will not lie

I wish not for the life ahead of me
Darkness comes down on my crashing sunset
I miss my parents oh can't you see?
I leave home and by the world i'm now best

Here I am, take me as you will
I will remain at least until
I, like my parents, can remain no more.

Very powerful. Amazing how trinkets can spark such powerful poetry and emotion. These words will be heard in the heavens.
