Loneliness In Love

Loneliness In Love

A Poem by Lucy Kennedy

Isolation

I am lost in a crowd.

Realiztion

Will I ever be found?

Entered in another bet,

I have the air alone.

Am I not adequet?

Loneliness chills my bones.

Wandering this empty land,

Playing that usual game of solitary.

Exploration for that special man,

I think, I found! But its only momentarily.

Moments!

Thriving on moments,

Poignant to waste my breath.

Perceptiveness,

O' to be so!

To own thee!

Salvaged from that misery.

I misconceive his feelings,

my days they seem to iterate.

Artful smile, I strike the ceiling.

While my heart and brain debate.

Can this be the consequence?

Blunders of my past.

Should I throw it all for chance,

On something that will never last.

Wangling my presentiment.

A code of love,

ettiquette.

Submitting to the evident,

my adulacious future spent.
