Can't Live Without YouA Poem by Lucy KennedyI havn't cried in so long not since losing you and now I fear this lonely song will drown me in an early tomb.
I veil my face from the world. I keep my heart hidden. I try so hard no to show my scorn, but I must write down my feelings.
I pretend that everything's alright. Even though I'm hurting deep inside, and when I go to bed at night, I dream of you by my side.
I miss you, can't you tell. When you see me, by the way I smile. I can't live without you. Everyday was just the same, until you came. I can't live without you.
I came to a fork in the road, and my heart was torn in two. Will I ever find that magic toad? Men like you are so few.
Sometimes I feel like a dove, trapped inside a cage. A bird that can't express it's love, dying of old age.
I miss you, can't you tell. When you see me, by the way I smile. I can't live without you. Everyday was just the same, until you came. I can't live without you.
If you could hear me now, these words are coming from my heart. Then you would know just how, I loved you from the very start.
When I sleep in my dreams, that's when you come back to me. Though I seem to try, I can't get your memories, out of my mind.
I miss you, can't you tell. When you see me, by the way I smile. I can't live without you. Everyday was just the same, until you came. I can't live without you.
I smell your scent in the bathroom, memories of a ghost. I fear that I'm my own doom, my love a lethal dose.
In my heart there's a hole, and my stomach is empty. There's an ache in my soul, and my mind is leaving me.
Maybe by writing this, you'll know that my loves real. Then you'll know how much you're loved, You'll know just how I feel.
I miss you, can't you tell. When you see me, by the way I smile. I can't live without you. Everyday was just the same, until you came. I can't live without you. © 2009 Lucy KennedyReviews
