You're A Gem

You're A Gem

A Poem by Lucy Kennedy

I'm in love

and they're taken.

Give me a shove

cause i'm shaken.

Can't get them off my mind.

The tears are flowing,

I'm dying inside

and the pain is growing.

I don't want to hurt noone.

I don't know who is leading.

I don't know if I should run

but my heart is bleeding.

What should have been

if you had the guts.

What should have been

I already told you once.

You play with my feelings.

I know and you know what you did.

I understand that you're healing

and that you can't change what you started.

But I wonder about us,

and I daydream about you.

I don't believe its just lust

cause I can't sleep without you.

To all those morons,

who think this is about them.

This person knows my heart on,

to me they're a gem.

I like the flow and the ending. Description and story kept my attention. A fun poem to read.
