Sleepless night

When the evening comes
Then the night arrives
I feel joy that at last
I am going to relax…
With a smile on my face,
After a tiring day,
I make time and space
To reflect and say
I’m glad for today
Remember on the way
Gratefully to pray.
For the good I have
Also for the bad
Thriving to become
Better every time.
I am afraid to fail
If I am being weak,
Vulnerable veil
A regret would slip.
Thoughts, emotions, tears,
At midnight they surface
Memories and fears
Into a catharsis.
In a world of speed
No one ever sees
There’s a need to stop
To a meaningful thought.
How we live our lives
Authentic or fake
We live or we waste
The time in our days…
We say or we ban
The thuds of the soul
The whispers of a heart
Standing against the flow
For a destiny that should only glow.
