Love

Love

A Poem by Ioana Mihai

I love you like heaven
Like sun loves the sky
Like moon loves the night
As eternal stars, refusing to fall.
You got into me so deeply, so hard,
Like the blood in my veins,
Like the air in my lungs,
And water in my cells.
Daydreaming of a beautiful love
Of all I would do and give
To make you feel happy
Nothing would be too scary
Nothing, but losing you
Meaning losing myself too…
I saw you as in my best dream
Was it my wish or the reality?
They say there’s no perfection
But you were to me.
Pure love is a miracle,
The most beautiful gift
I could ever give.
Another heart to beat
Another mind to think
Another life to live
All about you…
Love is so sweet
Love is so caring
Love it’s forgiving
Love has no pride,
Love is unending
Love it’s insane
Love has no limits
It has no borders
But possibilities.
Love is deep affection
Seeing you as perfection
Giving all it has in storage
And an infinite courage.
Love is all I could feel
All I will forever be…
Love is also a curse
When it’s all an illusion
Of all that could be
When love is so true,
Love is my life’s purpose.

Love Rules the Universe

Is love but a beautiful dream dreamt by beautiful souls;
seeming to fade like dreams from grasp as ever they grow old?
The kernel of love is growing; leaving only a husk behind
and eternal souls reach; knowing, though love has been called blind

More than ideal or beautiful dream is this thing which fools entice.
Love is not tempted by foolish schemes and beggars in paradise.
Though mountains crumble and seas boil; love remains steadfast,
pain and worry; lust and toil with life will fade, but love will last.

Death and time hold court convicting mortal flesh and bone;
accusing wiry fingers lifting, Love still sits upon its throne.
Those who value earthly pleasures find death abrupt and terse
Wait on heavenly treasures knowing, that love rules the universe

If one of us has no hope or faith and declares no one can know it
Love smiles and sheds amazing grace on prophets and on poets
The prophets prophesy in part and every poet pens their verse
The muse that stirs the cauldron heart knows love rules the universe

So beautiful, I totally agree on these
A beautiful and most oft desired emotional tie in this lonely world.
