Awaiting The DawnA Poem by InyourshadowLove is a many splendoured thingUpon my skin a thousand novels penned by slow traced trembling finger tips. Each word imprinted deep in myriad of fonts that baptised my naked flesh with each accompanying kiss. Your scent lingered long after your absent touch tattooing me with flowers in fluid tributes of your unspoken love. You wrapped me in cotton tied up with silk a prescious gift to be adored when evening breeze blew soft through patterned lace. If I could but capture once more your face in shaking hands and weeping eyes that drank you deep in fermentation of our heated bodies sweat and tasted passion hot and alluring. What pain would I know if I had not known you my love. Leave me now to rest to be reborn in morning rays and open arms as I lay bound insomniac by fear of losing you to sleep. Stoke of midnight mimicing my playful fingers pushing your fallen hair from heavy eyes and one last kiss confirm my need of you as we lay awaiting the dawn. © 2012 InyourshadowAuthor's Note
