Sinderella

A Poem by Inyourshadow

Seasonal fun

"

Cinderella in her pumpkin rode
a razor in her hand,
to play her part as been fortold
and given to this man.

But not tonight no fairytale
no happy ever after,
for she would prove that this female
cuts deeper than the laughter.

The coach arrived her mask she placed
as up the steps she swept,
Her glass slippers each one had traced
and their position secret kept.

She saw her prince she saw her chance
she led him to the floor,
and there she led him in her dance
of death born of a' mour

his throat she slit and pulled away
and down the steps she lept,
for her feet as I did say
they postion of each kept.

Now free at last to meet her lover
out beyond the wood
were she awaitinted patiently
beneath her crimson hood,

Maybe not one for the kids!! Very clever take on a well worn fairytale. Love it!

A sinister Sinderella indeed! Nicely written, smooth flow.

Wow! how very dark and alluring all at the same time! I could "see" her as I read. Very nicely penned !

Interesting take on the fairy tale, and very excellent - although you might want to think about spacing/punctuation (an example being in the line "The coach arrived her mask she placed", in which you could slip a comma). Great!!

What an epic tale this is. Very refreshing really. You masterfully protrayed this little fairy tale in a most delightful insightful way. Loved it.
