What Ache Breaks From Wounded Heart

What Ache Breaks From Wounded Heart

A Poem by Inyourshadow
"

Live and let love

"

What ache breaks from wounded heart
that has been so assailed this night,
bleeding words unheard and torn apart
by unenchanted scented breezes light.

What face no longer graced by welcome smile
could cause such eyes to die drowned by tears,
knowing that sweet kiss now tastes of bile
by bitter lies bound round by jealous peers.

What love so soft could bear so oft' the spiteful Tongue
that though unjust still bore mistrust in tender minds,
let ears hear not let then be forgot and thought of unheard
as love is blind let it be too afflicted deaf this time.

Condemn not the innocent with miscontent of jealousy
nor degrade their love to masquarade of winters dance,
for cold hearts ner' bear the fruit of truth and honesty
as they bloom but once for all that nurture sweet romance.

Shadow, I swear that you could be Shakespeare reincarnate. It is merely because of the way you speak, normally and in your poetry. Sometimes I can never come up with a very good review, and I don't know if this will be an adequate one. I mean, there's just so much to say about this! There's pain portrayed through the words of a lyrical tongue. You write a backlash softened and romanticized into something bittersweet. You do have a way with words, and I must say that I am a tinge jealous of your gift.
Just a tinge. ;3
