Dream not only of me this night

Dream not only of me this night

A Poem by Inyourshadow
"

Another night another ache

"

This pillow holds soft my face
as did once your hands,
As I inhale again your scent
from perfumed cotton crease,
I taste again your kiss
from lipstick stain.
Finger nails rake sheets
where lay your moistoned form,
warm silken skin
enfolded light in silken sheets.
Each night my ache of you
plays on broken strings
within a heart,
that cries in silent lament.
When will this night end
that I may escape the darkness
of my lonely bed.

So when you sleep this night
dream not only of me...

but of my arms

my lips

my scent

leading you to dream
once more of me
my love.

My friend, your imagery is some of the loveliest I have ever read. I can feel the ache emanating from this. You are a lovely writer.

So very beautiful. Full of emotion. I love how you ended it and the form you took when you spoke of her dreams. Well done. Keep on penning.
